Le Ravitaillement

Call of Duty® feeds the troops

This year, Call of Duty celebrates its 20th anniversary.
To celebrate this launch, Activision and Playstation are releasing the new Call of Duty opus, MWIII.A game full of new features, but most of all, it marks the return of the super villain Makarov, who has returned to threaten world peace. A threat that will engage players and require them to be at their very best when the game is released. Unfortunately, in this perilous mission, it’s often their IRL food supply that pays the highest price. And in France, home of the world’s gastronomy, we couldn’t accept that. That’s why we came up with “Le ravitaillement” for the release of MWIII.

The supply run

We collaborated with Michelin-starred chef Guillaume Sanchez to create a top-of-the-range starter/course/dessert menu, specially designed to provide the best French streamers with food for the game’s release.
Each dish on the menu is directly inspired by the COD universe:

– Two ravioli, one spicy and one sweet, to remind us of the confrontation between good and evil, between Price and Makarov.
– A smoked trout waffle, inspired by the Rust map, with its gridded floor and rusty universe
– An explosive nitrogen meringue, whose blackcurrant coulant is a tribute to the gore of the Zombie world.

To amplify our campaign, we then challenged streamers Domingo and Chowh1 to reproduce these recipes live on Domingo’s « En cuisine” show.

And finally, we supplied 4 big names from the Call of Duty scene (Wartek, Little Big Whale, Skyrros and Chowh1) during their livestreams dedicated to the game’s release. On this occasion, they received a tactical briefcase with the dishes, as well as goodies imagined especially for this launch.

Results

+ Over 505K impressions on livestreams and streamers’ social networks invested in the launch.

Domingo’s content generated 2.8M impressions through his posts and his “En cuisine” livestream.

Finally, Guillaume Sanchez’s recipes created for the operation reached 2.7M impressions on Tik Tok.
